Our Commitment to Safety
Tunesday is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users. While our platform is restricted to users 18 years and older, we maintain strict standards to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Age Verification and Access Prevention
- Minimum Age Requirement: Users must be 18 years or older to create an account
- Account Creation: All users must verify their age through Google Sign-In authentication
- Terms of Service: Clear statement that the service is only for users 18+
- Account Termination: Immediate suspension of any account found to belong to a minor
Content Moderation and Safety Measures
- User Generated Content: Limited to music recommendations and profile information
- Profile Images: Must be appropriate and non-explicit
- Communication: Direct messaging is limited to 1-on-1 private conversations. Users who are not mutual connections must send a message request which the recipient must accept before a conversation can begin. All messages are subject to our content policies and can be reported.
- Music Sharing: Links only to verified streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud)
- Reporting System: In-app reporting for inappropriate content or behavior
CSAM Prevention and Response
- Zero Tolerance Policy: Immediate removal and reporting of any CSAM content
- Proactive Monitoring: Regular review of user-generated content
- User Reporting: Clear reporting mechanisms for users to flag concerns
- Law Enforcement Cooperation: Full cooperation with authorities on any investigations
- Data Preservation: Retention of evidence when required by law enforcement
Reporting Procedures
For Users:
- In-app reporting button on all user profiles and content
- Email reporting to: safety@tunesday.app
- Response within 24 hours for urgent safety concerns
Our Response:
- Immediate review of all safety reports
- Suspension of reported accounts pending investigation
- Reporting to National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) when required
- Cooperation with local and federal law enforcement
Compliance and Legal Framework
- COPPA Compliance: Service not offered to users under 13
- 18 U.S.C. § 2258A: Reporting of CSAM to NCMEC CyberTipline
- FOSTA-SESTA: Prevention of platform use for illegal activities
